0844 numbers Terms & Conditions

1. General
DatingBBW™ obtains 0844 and 07 numbers on behalf of its members/clients via GTI Telecom. DatingBBW™ makes those numbers available to its members in order to protect those members from having to give out their home telephone numbers to third parties. The sole purpose of having an 0844 number is that it redirects calls dialed to the 0844 number to the member’s own telephone number. Equally, the 0844 numbers can be used to reduce the call rates of those who telephone DatingBBW™’s members with an 0844 number as those calls will be charged at local rate. Installation and use of the 0844 numbers made available to DatingBBW™ members is entirely free of charge. There are no hidden costs for using a DatingBBW™ 0844 number. No line rental or connection fees are charged. Even after termination of DatingBBW™ membership, the 0844 number can be retained indefinitely and free of charge.

2. Ownership & Transfer of Numbers
2.1 Ultimate ownership of all telephone numbers rests with the British government and not with the end user or supplying Telephone Company. You do however enjoy full use of your number(s) so long as the appropriate connection fees & ongoing charges are paid and that the number(s) are not being used for illegal purposes.
2.2 You may, if you wish, sell or transfer usage rights to your numbers. Transfers may not be made to any person or organisation whose purpose in acquiring the number is to use it in the carrying out of illegal/immoral activities. All transfers are subject to the approval of GTI Telecom.

3. Responsibilities
3.1 GTI Telecom/DatingBBW™ accepts no responsibility for loss of service arising from matters outside its control.
3.2 In the unlikely event where a carrier or supplying telecom company goes into liquidation (or otherwise loses its number range) connection fees, associated with memorable numbers, will not be refundable in these circumstances nor will GTI Telecom be responsible for any indirect losses, such as advertising costs using a defunct number.
3.3 If you do experience any problems with this service GTI Telecom will use its best endeavours to resolve them. You should report any such problems by calling Customer Services on 0870 833 8910 or emailing support@gtitelecom.com

4. Usage
4.1 In the event that you wish your number to be redirected so that it terminates over a different geographic number, this request will be actioned without charge on up to two occasions in any calendar year. GTI Telecom reserve the right to charge ?25+VAT for any subsequent requests. For temporary diversion GTI Telecom recommends that you set up call diversion with BT or your telecom supplier so that incoming calls will automatically divert to your mobile or nominated number. 4.2 The Customer agrees that call traffic for the standard 08xx numbers will not drop below 100 minutes for a period of more than three consecutive months. In the event that less than 100 minutes of call traffic is generated for more than three consecutive months GTI Telecom reserves the right to cease the service, without notice.

5. Loss of Service

7. Damages
7.1 Any claim for damages, for whatever reason, shall be limited to such sum(s) as may have been paid to GTI Telecom by the complaining party. Neither GTI Telecom, nor the connecting telephone company shall be liable for consequential losses arising through failure in service, failure to provide service, or any cause whatsoever.
